To be honest, I’ve nearly forgotten what day it is! Monday was a holiday for me and it has me so thrown off. But of course, I couldn’t forget to share what’s inspiring me this week. The theme of the week? Quarantine quotes!
It’s been tough lately, physically and mentally. I was doing allergy shots for my terrible seasonal allergies but those have been cancelled for the time being, which means my allergies are dragging me down a lot. Mentally I’m having trouble focusing and getting motivated (hence why this post is coming up at night rather than in the mornings like usual).
Body positivity has been tough for me this week. Between my allergies and feeling down in general, it’s been hard to get up and be active. I feel, quite honestly, like a blob lately. I’m trying to nip the negative thoughts in the bud but it’s definitely been an uphill battle lately.
While researching my post on how to start meditating, I came across this quote from Gaiam, a yoga brand. It brought such clarity to me as when I used to think about meditation, I didn’t understand the purpose of it. Since I began practicing, I’ve learned so much about the importance of simply being aware and in the moment.
This feels so relevant to me this week. It’s so easy to be fearful and anxious about the state of the world right now. But it’s important for us to be hopeful that life will return to normal and that we’ll all be safe. Together is the only way we’ll get through this pandemic.
Another relevant one for the current times. It seems impossible some days, but we keep going. We are growing stronger, together, through this pandemic.
Can you tell the pandemic has been weighing heavily on my mind lately? This short quote is a perfect reminder that the storm will pass eventually and we’ll start to have normalcy in our lives once again.
My reminder to myself this week. The days are long and difficult but there is something good to be found in each day. Remind yourself of that and bring the positivity back into your life.
I hope everyone is holding up well while in isolation and that these quarantine quotes can bring you some solace. Comment below and let me know how you’re doing!
